I am a second-year public relations major, pursuing a minor in sociology and the New Media Certificate (and hopefully Emerging Media).

Fun fact about me is I have self-produced and posted my music onto social media under my alias.

Exercises

Javascript is such a big challenge for me! I came into this without knowing where to begin, so I started with taking inspiration from previous codes, learning through YouTube tutorials and creating a concept. I worked through the project visually first, making sure that the video background and the container was aesthetic and matched the feel of the songs I chose. I, then, focused on the functionality of it all. I learned through this assignment how to utilize buttons to make audio controls: play, pause, forward, and backward. I was extremely proud of myself when I figured it out! I was supposed to create a progress bar, but I wasn't able to figure that out. In the future, I hope to be able to revisit and work on this jukebox again. I was also excited about the song information display. At first, I could not figure out why my first song wasn't showing and it would make me click forward for the first song to show up. I realized shortly after that you have to set the song to the current song option. Overall, I feel that my Jukebox project was well-executed, though it does lack some of the functionalities of a media player.
